Nursing Team
Our practice nurses are available every day, by appointment, the nurse may need to consult a doctor about your problem if your condition requires it. Our nurses are qualified to deal with minor injuries, dressings, ear syringing, leg ulcers, sprains, BP checks, cuts, vaccinations (and advice), childrens’ immunisations (we provide a full immunisation service for babies and children), cervical smears, etc. They run Well man and Well Women clinics and help look after patients with long term illnesses, including asthma, heart disease and diabetes. Community Nurses
Community nurses attached to the practice visit patients who are confined to their homes and need nursing assistance. This may be arranged with the doctor. The hospital will normally arrange for a community nurse to call on these patients discharged early who still require nursing treatment at home.
