Appointments for next anti-coagulation reviews are given to each patient every time they attend the clinic. Diabetes Reviews

We do not run a specific clinic for diabetes. We will see you for your diabetes review at any time during our weekly appointments. At each review we check your blood pressure, weight, body mass index, feet, medication, how you feel and advise you when your next blood test and appointment is due. Please, once you have had your blood test taken, book your appointment for review as soon as possible. Both Nurse Bernadette Murphy and Lisa Eve see all patients with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes for review. Lisa undertakes annual reviews and if you have seen Bernadette you may receive a telephone call from Lisa just to review your current treatment and overall diabetes control. Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine in which fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes. Cricket Green medical practice provides western medical acupuncture which is the use of acupuncture after a proper medical diagnosis. It is based on scientific evidence that shows that the treatment can stimulate nerves under the skin and in muscle tissue. This results in the body producing pain-relieving substances, such as endorphins. It is likely these substances are responsible for any beneficial effects seen with this form of acupuncture. Acupuncture may be offered to relieve pain, particularly for arthritis and other musculo-skeletal problems.
