You can see or contact our clinicians in various different ways at Cricket Green medical practice.

A selection of appointments can be booked online.

Alternatively, receptionists can help with many issues including those related to appointments, referrals or medications, often quicker than the GPs, and the GPs have a daily ‘queries’ folder to deal with those issues that need a GP input.

If you phone up or come to reception asking to be seen you will be asked ‘is this a new or urgent problem?’ as well as a few details about the problem. This will help the receptionists book you a face to face appointment with an appropriate clinician, at a clinically appropriate time.

If you wish to book a follow up or face to face appointment in advance you can do this online too.

If however you feel a telephone call, perhaps with a GP you have seen before, is more appropriate you can request this instead. The GP will be able to book you for a face to face appointment if needed after the phone call.

Failure To Attend

If you are not able to attend, then please make sure you cancel your appointment.

There has been an increase in the number of patients who, without warning, do not attend their appointments. This is not acceptable as it denies genuine patients rapid access to a doctor. For this reason the practice has decided that, on the second occasion that a patient fails to attend their appointment without warning, they will receive a letter informing them that they will no longer be accepted at the practice.
